Bruschetta

the best we've ever had.

  • 1 Baguette
  • 2 Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Diced Red Onion
  • 4 Minced Cloves Garlic
  • Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Basil
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar
  • Olive Oil

Turn broiler onto high. Line baking sheet with foil & place sliced baguette pieces on.

Lightly brush with olive oil & sprinkle with garlic powder.

Toast for 1 -2 mins, or until golden.

Remove from oven. Flip bread over; repeat olive oil & garlic powder coating. Cook 1 – 2 mins.

Meanwhile, add olive oil to small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic & cook 1 min. Place in bowl & let cool.

Add tomatoes, onions, basil, salt, pepper & balsamic vinegar. Taste for seasoning.

Serve on top of toasted baguette slices.

 

Note: If desired, can add grated cheese when bread is flipped & going into the oven the 2nd time.
