Brown Butter Glazed Banana Bread

the best we've ever had.

  • 4 Bananas
  • 1/4 Cup Melted Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla
  • 1 + 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Chopped Pecans

Preheat oven to 350. Grease loaf pan.

In large bowl, beat bananas until mashed.

Add butter & sugar; beat until well combined.

Mix in egg & vanilla.

Add flour, baking soda & salt; stir until just incorporated.

Bake 45- 55 mins, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool 10 mins, then drizzle with glaze and top with pecans.

 

Glaze:

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2- 3 Tbs milk

 

Cook butter over medium heat until it starts to foam, stirring frequently. Stop stirring & let it cook until amber brown.

Remove from heat & stir in powdered sugar & enough milk to make glaze desired consistency.
