Shortbread Cookies

the best we've ever had.

  • 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 Cup Icing Sugar
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Butter

Sift together cornstarch, icing sugar & flour in bowl.

Have butter at room temperature. Blend butter into dry ingredients with a spoon until soft dough forms.

Shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart.

Flatten dough with lightly floured fork.

Bake in slow oven (300) for 15 mins, or until edges of cookie are slightly brown.

 

Note: If dough becomes soft, cover & chill 1/2 hr.
