Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

the best we've ever had.

  • 5 Cups Sliced Apples
  • 2 Tbs Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Uncooked Pie Crust

Preheat oven to 425.

Place apples in large bowl.

Combine 2 Tbs flour, sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg & allspice; coat apples.

Put apple mix in pie shell & dot with 2 Tbs butter. Lay aluminum foil on top of filling, but do not seal.

Bake 10 mins.

Combine 3/4 flour, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, brown sugar & oats; mix until crumbly.

Reduce heat to 375.

Spread streusel mix over topping & bake an additional 30 – 35 mins, loosely covered with aluminum foil.
